OPTIFAST

The OPTIFAST Program is a treatment plan that provides guidance and support for making lifestyle changes that help you reach and maintain a healthier weight. OPTIFAST is known for expertise with complete medical meal replacement, which means simply replacing your normal food with delicious shakes and nutrition bars. This program is typically 950 calories a day and may be more if needed. It is medically appropriate for those who need to lose 40 or more pounds and those with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30 or more. A modified plan (partial meal replacement, partial solid food) can be designed for those who prefer to have some self-prepared food. Our OPTIFAST clinics (medical monitoring and classes) are offered day and evening. Please call for current days and times. Schedules and changes will also be published in the newsletter.
1200 (or more) CALORIE PLAN
For those with a BMI less than 30 or those who want more calories, the 1200+ calorie plan is just the ticket. It is typically a combination of meal replacement and solid food. This is also a more economical plan as medical monitoring is minimal. Another advantage is that this plan can be done on an individual basis, day or evening, making the time much more flexible. Otherwise, you may join any clinic.
BACK ON TRACK
Do you need a course correction or need to lose more weight after your initial course of treatment? BACK ON TRACK limits “fasting” to four weeks and thus in most cases requires only some blood work and no physical, so getting started is quick and easy. Attendance at a clinic is required.
CLUB AIM
Club Aim is the “maintenance” program for OPTIFAST graduates and others who want ongoing support after completion of a weight loss plan. Please note that maintenance is about maintaining behaviors and skills; you don’t have to be at your desired weight to practice maintenance skills. As a member of CLUB AIM, you may attend any classes or other support services being offered.
